Q1 Consulting Services is a Virtual Assistant business specializing in remote administrative support services for small businesses. We provide an outsourcing alternative for solo and small practice clients who typically do not have the time, space or budget for in-house staff but have the same critical need for administrative assistance as their larger business counterparts.
Q1 Consulting Services works in ongoing collaborative partnership with its clients primarily on an hourly basis. Our mission is to provide clients with expert, off-site business support services that free their time and allow them to focus on revenue-generating activities, ultimately helping them become more successful.
HOW I GOT STARTED
I started as a VA in 1997 as sort of a fluke so-to-speak. I left my corporate job to stay home with my youngest child after he was born. I heard that the division I worked for at my previous company was folding and the employees were losing their jobs. I contacted the sales training manager I supported, and asked him what he had planned to do. He decided to start his own business, and asked me if I'd do his administrative work so he could focus on selling his services. I thought that would be a perfect opportunity to make some money AND keep my skills current for when I would return to the corporate world. Little did I know that the VA industry was just starting to boom, and I was at the cutting edge of it.
We didn't have the technology at the time to be completely virtual, but we did the best we could. Since then, my business has grown, I am completely virtual and the rest is history!
